This is one of those products that previous generations would have really enjoyed. The make due and make it last mindset fits in perfectly with Shoe Goo. I don’t know about anyone else but I am absolutely brutal on foot wear. I wear them down and out faster than should be humanly possible. Whether it was rubber boots I wore lobster fishing or leather work boots in the oil patch I have had more than one opportunity to put Shoe Goo to the test.

This stuff is just a bit more expensive than your average tube of adhesive, but it pays for itself on its very first use. The first time you repair your leather work boots it has paid for itself. It comes out of the tube like a really thick caulking almost gel like. It has good hold but if you can clamp the footwear overnight you will get incredible staying power.

I most recently repaired both of my daughters black leather boots. I have fixed my sister in laws tennis shoes, and a few years ago my leather boots for oil work all from the same tube. The biggest issue is remembering where you put it during the time you don’t need it. Freezing doesn’t affect it so feel free to leave it in your shop or garage and when you do you use leave a door or window open for a few minutes as it has a slight odor.

If you are anything like me you will be the person in your extended family that everyone brings their footwear to in order to get repaired. I love this stuff which was first recommended to me years ago when I worked at the hardware store, and the 15 dollars a tube for the Shoe Goo was a big investment for me back then but even then i was an investment worth doing.
