One of my rules to life by is always fix a lose hinge. I learned this the hard way if you ignore a wobbly hinge when it first starts eventually you have a much bigger problem that can’t be fixed so easily. So take a minute and fix it when its just lose, before you have a door that fell off the casing entirely, breaking a hinge, tearing out the jamb and ruining the door itself.

I tired a bunch of different life hacks when attempting to fix a stripped hinge screw, I would try a bigger screw, or filling the hole full of tooth picks or a golf tee and breaking them off. I even heard sliding a zip tie in the hole and then reinserting the screw will work as well. But nothing has work as quick and professionally as these Screw-It-Again anchors.

Like I have said before, so much of a handyman is fixing things that shouldn’t move or getting thing to move that currently aren’t, and this is the answer to the wobbly hinge that you can’t tighten anymore.

It works just like a drywall anchor, you just screw the anchor in with a screwdriver into the stripped hole as far as it will go, break off what sticks out and put the hinge and screw back on and that is it. It seems too good to be true, but its probably why these are about 8 bucks for a 4 pack, they are a bit expensive but they just damn work.
