There isn’t much of a better surprise then coming home and finding a wall hanging, you recently mounted, no longer hanging on the wall. Whenever you purchase just about anything from a big box store, whether its a wall clock, a decorative picture or even a spice rack, the company so graciously includes an anchor to mount it in drywall.

Those included anchors can be all colors of rainbow, black, green, blue, but most commonly white. However no matter the color they have one thing in common, they aren’t made out of sh*t. They are literally the flimsiest plastic you will find. If and when they catch on anything going in the hole they fold up and collapse. You can literally tear them apart with your teeth although I don’t know why you would. And they don’t hold worth a damn.

The best cost effective solution I have found are these heavy duty white drywall anchors. I keep a bulk pack on hand and use them for everything. They can be easily started with a slight tap and then screwed in directly with a screw driver. Once bottomed out they are there unless you hook a truck to them.
