STANLEY WINDOW SCRAPER

Every day I get a report of the items that are bought through my Amazon affiliate links. I like to look through them to see what interesting things people are buying that I might be missing out on. This Stanley Window Scraper was the first item that really caught my eye, when I was just getting started with Amazon Affiliates

This little plastic scraper for around 10 bucks didn’t look like much but it was exactly what I needed. The blade just push fits into the handle so no sliding mechanism to get gummed up. The entire thing is made of plastic for nothing to rust and corrode. The handle is longer than the ‘stainless steel’ ones I traditionally had used so I was able to put a bit more pressure behind it and finally its reinforced in a way that it doesn’t feel unsafe.

I have used this for getting caked on dirt and gunk off residential windows, but the best use I have found for this is removing bugs off my truck windshield. We have bugs here on the prairies that just instantly become one with the glass. I spray a bit of Goof-Off on the window let it sit two mins and the scraper does the rest of the work. It has been one of those little items that punches well above its weight class in value.

The Best blade I have found for use in these type of scrapers and utility knives are the Dewalt Carbide Utility Blades, they come plenty sharp but their carbide edge lets them last way longer than traditional all steel blades.
